The BiscayTIK Foundation is committed to the creation of an international benchmark technology centre, a pioneering venture worldwide, which will serve to generate and disseminate knowledge about the citizen-focused technologies and services implemented by means of the BiscayTIK Project.
We believe it is important to have an organisation capable of generating the knowledge required and which allows this initiative to be applied in other parts of the world.

This centre will be responsible for developing the integrated system for the local councils of Biscay, supporting technology enterprises by exporting the knowledge acquired through this initiative to any authorities so requesting.
Its mission will be to assist the public authorities in making greater and better use of technology, while assisting the population in using Internet-based public services, through the experience gained on the BiscayTIK Project itself.
The centre will be based in the municipality of Getxo and is scheduled to open in 2011, although in the meantime its provisional headquarters has been set up in the town of Leioa.
