The BiscayTIK Foundation was present at the 17th edition of Euskal Encounter, which took place in Bilbao Exhibition Centre from 23th to 26th of July 2009. More than 4,000 people attended the oldest of this kind of events in the state.
The visitors of the stand of BiscayTIK had the opportunity to actívate the @bizkaia.eu e-mail that BiscayTIK offers all the citizens of Biscaya, which is free and has no unwanted advertising. It is worth mentioning that 50% of those present at the Euskal Encounter came from this province. Euskal Encounter became an important place to offer information to an audience who is an expert on new technologies.
The people that activated and used their account during the event were given presents related to @bizkaia.eu accounts as a promotional activity.
Furthermore, the stand of BiscayTIK offered general information about the running of the BiscayTIK project and its current development.
One of the most popular activities were the demonstrations of the Surface, a platform that allows to interact through a touch screen with digital content and even with phisical elements in tourist information points and others that are being investigated.
