Welcome to the website of the BiscayTIK Foundation.
The objectives of the BiscayTIK Foundation as an organisation are to support all activities necessary for the furtherance of knowledge in administrative practices and technologies connected with serving the needs of citizens through communication technologies, with the aim of giving the public greater online access to the public authorities.
BiscayTIK is an innovative project occupying a pioneering position worldwide, with the following chief goals: to bring public authorities into closer contact with citizens, to standardise the IT tools used by the local councils of the province of Biscay, to establish Biscay as an international flagship in the application of knowledge and information technologies in municipal administration, with the support of a newly created technology centre.
